When the Titanic originally released in 1997, I was just 4 years old and didn't get the opportunity to see it on the big screen. So when it re-released in 3D, i just couldn't miss the opportunity even though I had seen it at least 10 times.
Titanic is an epitome of beautiful cinema. It is am epic with each minute/second being an individual masterpiece. Every time you see Titanic, it induces emotions of love, happiness, sadness, anger, disgust, excitement, fear, surprise, pity etc. You fall for Rose, you feel pity for her, you enjoy with Jack and Rose while they slowly falling in love with each other and you cry for them during the end ........ there is absolutely no movie till date that can even stand close to what Titanic is. Avatar is nothing when compared with Titanic. Needless to say, each and every person is perfect in his part, from the Muslims trying to decipher the English instructions to Billy Zane who portrays one of the most hated person of all time.
Coming to the 3D part .......... it does enrich the movie watching experience. Al tough it does make it a little dark but the darkness is still less as compared to recent 3D movies. Since it was not shot in 3D and converted post release, it does not have anything coming up to you. What you feel is the depth ...... each and every thing in the foreground is carefully mastered to give you the three-dimensional feeling. You feel involved especially during the destruction scenes and that is actually when you feel it's (3D) real importance. Few scenes to note .......... the scene where the crewman drops his keys and their eventual escape show you the actual effects of the conversion. The corridor scenes are so perfectly converted that you actually feel scared of the water coming towards you ......... !! In short, the 3D is dazzling !
If someone was to take me to watch Titanic again, I will certainly not refuse. The 194 minutes seem the best way in which one can spend his/her time and that's what Titanic is all about.
Star Rating : Really ??
